Clinical waste removal across Yorkshire
Yorkshire has GP surgeries, care homes, pharmacies and private clinics in cities and market towns. Clinical waste is any waste that could pose a risk of infection, or that contains medicines, chemicals or sharps. It is produced by GP surgeries, pharmacies, care homes, private clinics, physiotherapists, aesthetics and tattoo studios, vets and many other businesses. Most of it is hazardous waste, and the law requires it to be segregated, stored securely, collected by a registered carrier and properly documented.

Our services
Sharps collection
Needles, syringes, blades and other sharps in rigid, lidded containers with the right lid colour for the contents: orange for sharps with no medicines, yellow for medicinally contaminated sharps and purple for cytotoxic or cytostatic sharps.
Infectious waste
Orange-bag waste suitable for alternative treatment and yellow-bag waste that must be incinerated, such as dressings, swabs and items contaminated with blood or body fluids from an infection risk.
Offensive and hygiene waste
Non-infectious waste such as gloves, aprons, incontinence pads and couch roll in yellow-and-black tiger bags, which is cheaper to dispose of than infectious waste when segregated correctly.
Pharmaceutical waste
Out-of-date, returned and part-used medicines collected in blue-lidded containers, with cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines kept separate in purple-lidded containers for high-temperature incineration.
Anatomical and specialist waste
Anatomical waste in red-lidded containers, plus laboratory, gypsum and chemical waste from clinics, labs and veterinary practices, routed to the correct treatment facility.
One-off clinical waste collections
Single collections for stockpiled sharps, clinic closures, refits, events, or a backlog left by a previous contractor, cleared with full paperwork.
